UnitedHealthcare is sponsoring the Special Olympics USA Games for the first time, and they came to us with a brief that had a clear point of view: don't tell stories about disability. Tell stories about athletes.

The competitors at the Special Olympics train with the same intensity, discipline, and hunger as any professional. Our campaign was built on that truth — a celebration of their journey and performance. These aren't athletes in spite of anything. They're athletes.

We teamed up with Olympic gold medalist Sunni Lee to get up close and personal with the athletes, and to check out how they’ll be celebrating their wins.
